Compared to the CS-62A, the CS-62B has much better performance specs. Lack of image
artifacts, a mic-in (which however makes the switch bigger), independent switching of KVM and
audio circuits, and an elegant look distinguishes this device compared to the competitors. The
quality of the new device is still very good: at 1600x1200@85Hz and at 2048x1536@60Hz there
is no difference between the images rendered with the GeForce 6600GT in case of the direct
connection and the KVM connection. The downside of the new model is its price. The advantage
is a new more fashionable look with a semitransparent window. If one needs to switch a mic
between two PCs or needs an independent switching of KVM and speakers, they should choose
the CS-62B. If you need an ordinary KVM switch or you need to switch speakers in parallel to
the others, you’d better use the CS-62A.
